Job Description Job Description Job Posting TitleLaborer Job Description Major Job Responsibilities/Duties Inspects materials and sorts items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits Operate machinery used in the production process or assist equipment operators Load and unload items from machines, conveyor and conveyances Moves reusable materials to production department or storage Separates metal particles from waste Cleaning which includes; sweeping and shoveling residual waste from process Removes waste materials from conveyor Other duties may be assigned Job Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED) One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience Working conditions/physical demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
