Job Description:
The Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College is seeking applicants
for two full-time non-tenure track positions at the rank of
Teaching Assistant Professor (earned doctorate required) or
Teaching Instructor (earned Master's required) beginning September
1, 2025. The positions include instruction in upper-division
baccalaureate-level courses. A full-time teaching load consists of
24 semester hours which are divided between the fall and spring
semesters. Candidates also will be expected to assist with student
advising & recruitment and to perform other service to the
Department and College. The Nursing Program is a dynamic and
growing program accredited by CCNE. Nursing is among the largest
majors in the School of Science.

and offers nurses a broader humanistic caring perspective of the
discipline of nursing. The Nursing program integrates a holistic
caring science curriculum with Franciscan values and a strong
education in the liberal arts and sciences. With a focus on mindful
learning, reflective practice, and the importance of self-care, our
caring science teaching-learning philosophy supports an authentic

cultural, economic, and political issues that impact health

Annual Salary: Teaching Assistant Professor (doctorally prepared)
$95,200**
Teaching Instructor (masters prepared*) $61,200**
*Note applicants that do not have an earned doctorate are eligible
to apply for the Pathway to Ph.D. Fellowship Program. Siena College
has been awarded a grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation
to provide fellowship support to two qualified candidates who hold
a master's degree in nursing to pursue a PhD in nursing and serve
as a full-time teaching faculty member in the Nursing program

**This hiring salary represents the College's good faith estimate

Required Qualifications:
Masters of Science in Nursing
Unencumbered NYS RN License or eligible to obtain NYS RN licensure
prior to contract start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate from an accredited not-for-profit Nursing School
A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching (both classroom
and hybrid platforms) using a Caring Science philosophy.
A minimum of three (3) years teaching in baccalaureate nursing
Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE), Advanced Holistic Nursing
Board Certification (AHN-BC).
Experience and preparation to teach in Community and Public Health
Nursing, Advanced Health Assessment, Nursing Leadership, Health
Policy, Nursing Informatics, Holistic Pharmacology.
A background screening will be required.
