(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A skilled professional is sought to provide Sign
Language Interpreting services within an educational setting. This
role involves facilitating communication between deaf or
hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff to
ensure an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and
vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and school
events. Collaborate with educators and support staff to effectively
support student learning and participation. Maintain
confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions. Travel
between assigned schools or sites within the region as required.
Desired Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
with demonstrated interpreting skills. Experience interpreting in
educational environments is highly preferred. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to varied educational
settings and student needs. Flexibility to travel locally within
the service area. Location: Leominster, MA This position offers the
