The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic primary function is Makes repairs to all machines Uses all types of machine shop machines (Power Presses & Fabricating Equipment) Fabricates and installs safety guards on machines Die set up in power presses Assists with large production jobs Designs and builds a die from a part print or sample part Troubleshoots production tooling/dies and makes necessary repairs Designs and builds machine tools, cutting tools and other tools used for manufacturing Works on prototypes for Engineering Department Form grinding Checks tooling and responsible for supplying measurements to Engineering Department Sets up dies Works with Power Presses Additional Requirements Math skills Ability to operate material handling and tools required to perform tasks. Must be flexible – OT and weekend are required as needed. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Education High School diploma or equivalent trade school Experience Minimum of 2-3 years manufacturing environment Ability to operate a forklift and or material handling equipment 2-3 years Physical Requirements - Essential Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks) Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
