shape the future. The Power Electronics team at RTX Technology
Research Center invites individuals with power electronics
expertise and strong analytical, numerical, and physics-based
modeling skills to apply for an open position. What You Will Do: We
are seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join our cohesive team of
research engineers and technicians who are focused on developing
innovative technologies and solving challenging problems for
aerospace and defense applications. Collaborate within
multidisciplinary teams in areas such as high-power systems, power
electronics packaging/thermal systems, and aerospace propulsion
systems. Deliver advanced technology through creative analysis and
problem solving. Select and deploy appropriate modeling fidelity
for a given problem, including the application of high-fidelity
computational models and circuit simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB,
Python, LTspice, Altium, etc). Communicate research results
effectively through both verbal and written means. Participate in
the creation of research proposals to RTX business units and
government agencies. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s
degree in engineering or a related discipline and minimum 8 years
prior relevant experience, or an MS Degree in a related field and
minimum 5 years experience. Experience in electrical engineering
and power electronics as applied to power converter design,
high-power systems, or pulse power design. Experience in the
application of analytical skills towards the development of new
technologies. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without
sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship
for this position. Qualifications We Prefer: Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field. Ph.D. candidates
with no formal experience will be considered. M.S. candidates must
have 3 years of experience in a relevant work environment.

environment. Excellent communication skills, informal and formal
presentation skills, and ability to foster positive relationships
with internal and external partners. Ability to manage uncertain
requirements, develop approaches to solve problems, and recognize
when additional subject matter expertise is needed. Specialized
knowledge or research interest in one or more of the following
areas: Pulsed power systems Space applications (radiation-hardened
electronics) On-chip power delivery, integration and packaging
Fusion systems (plasma, ultra-high voltage) Semiconductor power

86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
