- Designs, implements and manages the corporate compliance and
risk management program
- Creates and coordinates the review of related agreements,
policies, procedures, protocols, plans, and other documents that
regulate operations; ensures accurate application and
interpretation of regulatory requirements, advises leadership
accordingly, and completes applicable state and federal
filings
- Recommends, designs and implements risk management strategies
that improve safety and reduce liability and exposure across the
organization and the various line of business
- Directs the activities of compliance department staff with
regarding conducting departmental and enterprise audits, following
up on reported or observed compliance issues, and the monitors the
effectiveness the compliance systems
- Regularly performs risk assessments and conducts loss reviews,
makes recommendations for improvement
- Manages and regularly reviews insurance coverage and related
policies
- Collects and analyzes data, provides statistics, reports, and
forecasts based on current and potential risks
- Works to reduce and contain all insurance claims including
Workers Compensation, Property, Motor Vehicle, and Liability Claims
and immediately takes necessary action or corrective action
steps
- Coordinates and directs company loss control efforts
- Partner and coordinate with brokers, insurers, third party
administrators, claims adjusters, occupational health providers,
attorneys, and mediators to leverage available resources and
data
- Provide direction to and collaborate with the Safety Committee
on Safety Programs and Plans, coordinate companywide Safety
Programs and Plans with designated, site-based safety personnel;
and ensure the full implementation of safety software (OSHA, fleet
management, etc.)
- Provide direction to leadership and management in the implement
of overall risk management strategies and plan
- Establishes and provides training to managers and other key
personnel.
- Drafts and presents risk reports and proposals to executive
leadership and management
- Ensures compliance and risk management goals are completed
within established timeframes
- Performs other job-related duties as directed Physical Demands:
The incumbent may have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and
occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds. While performing
the duties of this job the incumbent will sit, stand, keyboard, and
or walk for the majority of the workday. The incumbent is required
to regularly speak expressing or exchanging ideas, impart oral
information, and to convey detailed spoken instructions to others
quickly and accurately; and hear i n person speech, telephone, and
other remote speech while fulfilling the duties of the job. Mostly
an office location, generally quiet with moderate distractions.
Occasional travel to sites and inspection of locations including,
production, janitorial, rehabilitation, and food services.
Locations may be noisy, may be exposed to hot and cold temperature,
including during outdoor inspections. Many daily tasks are urgent
