    The Operational Excellence 'OpX' team is responsible for developing and deploying Stanley Black & Decker's Manufacturing Excellence, with a specific focus on driving lean transformation and continuous improvement of manufacturing locations globally. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing standards, frameworks, and programs to support the delivery of Manufacturing Excellence strategies and initiatives. This role will partner closely with the OpX team to develop and institutionalize the delivery of Manufacturing Excellence capabilities across the enterprise.

    Responsibilities:
    • Design the strategy, framework, and deployment plans in alignment with business objectives and engagement from support functions
    • Establish a governance model across core capabilities programs in support of the Manufacturing Excellence operating model
    • Lead the design and implementation of continuous improvement (CI) models and link these to plant-based CI teams
    • Establish a standard framework for SPS assessments and audits across the business units; develop and enforce SPS standards
    • Lead core capabilities projects/programs deployment and implementation to ensure governance and results; Provide post-project support to embed improvement solutions
    • Manage communication planning and coordination in alignment with corporate and functional partners to roll out new programs that continue to simplify our ways of working
    • Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of open positions within the core capabilities team; manage talent development and performance and provide mentoring
    • Lead the design and deployment of the SPS Academy, including the training plan, methodology, and accreditation process; design the framework for training Manufacturing Excellence teams and line management
    • Establish connected and instrumented assets on a standard architecture for base-level operational & maintenance management
    • Identify and leverage high-impact best practices, including benchmarks inside and outside the companySkills & Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 15 years of manufacturing experience
      • Master or MBA preferred
      • Manufacturing experience to include line responsibility and experience with the main manufacturing functions: production, maintenance, quality, production engineering, internal logistics, and launch (NPI)
      • Prior operational consulting experience preferred
      • Deep experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
      • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
      • Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability for managing multiple projects in parallel and/or managing large programs of work
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams
      • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with interpersonal skills
      • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, global and domestic travel % may vary on business needs.
