Operational Excellence "OpX" team is responsible for the
development and deployment of SBD's Manufacturing Excellence with a
specific focus on driving continuous improvement and lean
transformation of manufacturing locations globally. The Director,
Manufacturing Center of Excellence is responsible for project
management governance in support of Manufacturing Excellence
strategies and initiatives across the enterprise. This role will be
accountable for ensuring PMO and project governance is established
and implemented in alignment with manufacturing excellence
strategies and initiatives. This role leads a team of professionals
providing comprehensive project/program management support for the
execution and end- to- end delivery of initiatives implemented by
the Manufacturing Excellence team.Responsibilities: - Design and
establish the project management operating framework to set
expectations and document processes and procedures for data
collection, document management, and reporting. - Drive compliance
with process and procedure during both front-end planning and
execution phases of projects and programs. - Work with the
Manufacturing Excellence team and the Center of Excellence team to
ensure business systems and data flow are aligned to PMO efforts. -
Update processes and procedures to reflect best practices based on
feedback from field operations, project management, and the
Manufacturing Excellence team. - Report on progress of
projects/programs, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets,
resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline,
and actions necessary to ensure success. - Sets up and drives
program management functions including meeting leadership,
deliverable tracking, reporting, escalation management, issue
resolution, and others. - Leads with a continuous improvement
mindset looking for ways to get work done more efficiently on an
ongoing basis. - Conducts post-mortems/capture, communicate, and
incorporates lessons learned into processes. - Continues to
evaluate ways PMO can grow as the organization evolves to better
support the business - Mentor and develop staff and new team
membersSkills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business
Management, Engineering, or related field with at least 10 years of
project management experience in manufacturing required - Project
Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred - Masters or
MBA preferred - Prior experience either leading or working within a
Center of Excellence team - Prior operational consulting experience
preferred - Deep experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous
Improvement methodologies - Lean Six Sigma or other process
improvement certification - Strong project management skills and
demonstrated ability for managing multiple projects in parallel
and/or managing large programs of work - Proficient in Microsoft
Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams - Effective
communication skills, both written and verbal, with interpersonal
skills - Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, global and
domestic, travel % may vary based on business needsHow You'll
