outstanding service every day!Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations
Manager 2 in New York City. This role will report to the General
Manager and oversee a staff of approximately 30 union employees.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong operational
background, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for service
excellence and team development.The successful candidate will have
at least 2 years lead food management experience preferably in a
hospital.ServSafe required.What You'll Do
- Oversee daily food service operations, including food
production and service for both patients and retail outlets.
- Lead food procurement efforts and maintain adherence to
production standards.
- Plan, cost, and implement retail menus in line with operational
budgets.
- Manage employee scheduling, conduct performance reviews, and
support ongoing training and development.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation
standards.
- Drive quality assurance and enforce physical and food safety
protocols.
- Control food, supply, and labor costs while meeting budgetary
goals.
- Foster a positive and productive union workforce

You Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of lead food management experience in a
hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and
lead effective teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and food service
compliance in healthcare.
- Knowledge of cook-chill systems preferred.
- ServSafe Certification is required.
- Experience managing in a union environment is a plus.Who We

Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent
experience. Minimum Management Experience - 2 years. Minimum
Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary
services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering
services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
