$129,471 - $161,838 / Grade 006Responsibilities:
- Manage NYCT's internal rail flaw track inspection operations,
including UT Inspections and other specialized inspections of track
elements.
- Direct rail flaw inspection operations, including audits of NDT
systems onboard Track Geometry Cars, and field verifications of
rail defects.
- Perform project management for the Non-Destructive Testing Rail
Services Contracts.
- Ensure successful annual internal rail flaw inspections of
mainline tracks.
- Manage QA/QC of UT operations.
- Review and validate daily ultrasonic test inspection data,
ensuring timely reporting of critical defects.
- Review contractors' personnel qualifications, certifications,
attendance reports, and invoices.Experience and Education
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or
university.
- Eight (8) years of responsible full-time paid experience.
- Five (5) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience with
five (5) years of supervisory/managerial
experience.Certifications:*ASNT NDT Level II Certified for
Ultrasonic Testing according to ASNT SNT-TC-1A (latest edition) is
required.*Desired Skills:
- Hands-on experience in mechanical equipment inspections and
ultrasound inspections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Selection
