The Center for Family and Community Medicine, Columbia
University Irving Medical Center and the New York Presbyterian
Hospital Department of Family Medicine is seeking enthusiastic
board-certified family physicians to join our practice.
At CUMC Family Medicine, we provide high-quality patient care in an
urban-underserved community and offer best in class teaching to
residents and medical students.
The successful candidates will join an energetic and collaborative
team that is committed to community and population health, training
the family physicians of tomorrow, and providing high quality,
evidence-based patient care to our Washington Heights
Community.
The residency program and the Farrell Health Center have a focus on
Women's Health, Community Medicine and Integrative Medicine. Our
program has a focus on inter-professional collaborative practice
teams and quality improvement. Maternity care with dedicated
teaching time on Labor and Delivery is an option. We prefer
candidates who will contribute to innovations in patient care such
as telemedicine, family medicine procedures, prenatal care, quality
improvement, practice-oriented research or medical student
education.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD or equivalent medical professional degree is required.
Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Family
Medicine
Must be eligible to practice family medicine in the State of New
York.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a family medicine faculty development fellowship,
experience practicing in a family medicine residency teaching
center, or attending for a family medicine inpatient service is a
plus. Medical Spanish proficiency also a preferred.
