Pay Information $2,591 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients. Respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications are included among the cases we handle. Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations. Knowledge and experience in advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage per titration protocols, are essential. Familiarity with antihypertensive drips, sedative and naloxone drips, thromboembolytics, arterial lines, central venous pressure monitoring, external ventricular drains, orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols is required. Experience with high-flow nasal cannula, BiPap/Cpap, and oxygen-dependent care is beneficial. Candidates with extensive adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience tend to perform well in our setting. The average patient load is three high-acuity patients. Weekend block scheduling may be considered.
