winner in 2016. Vascular Advanced Practitioner Role Scope The
Vascular Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner practices in an
outpatient ambulatory setting, running parallel with an attending
surgeon as well as running their own independent sessions. The
advanced practice provider will have a high level of autonomy in
managing complex vascular patients. They will be expected to
maintain flexibility during busy office sessions. The AP will need
to be able to recognize scenarios that would require escalation of
care. The AP will manage a patient panel for pre-op, post-op, and
annual follow-up patients, as well as new consults. Patient
conditions include, but are not limited to, carotid artery disease,
aortic aneurysms, and lower extremity peripheral arterial disease.
Additional responsibilities include wound care, following up on
imaging, assisting with triage of new patients/emergency walk-ins,
assisting nursing with clinical questions and concerns, wound
checks, staple removal, and general vascular patient care. Practice
locations include Hartford, Meriden, and Manchester. Advanced

Qualifications · Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant /
Nurse Practitioner Master’s program · 2 years of preferred
experience · Licensed as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut · Certification
as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner
(ANP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP),
or Physician Assistant (PA) · Vascular, arterial, cardiac, or
