they turn to Hartford Hospital. Physician Assistant / Nurse
Practitioner Role Scope Advanced Practitioners at Hartford hospital
practice Emergency Medicine (ED) / Emergency Room (ER) in a very
busy level 1 trauma center alongside residents and attendings.
Advanced practitioners see patients from every triage level.
Schedule: Full time (40), day and night rotating. Advanced

Requirements Exceptional physical assessment skills required. 6
months experience assessment/diagnosis/treatment of health
disruptions and trauma conditions. Suturing, minor surgical skills,
splinting/casting, gyn exam (job or preceptorship experience).
Strongly preferred: minimum 1 year experience in Emergency
Medicine. Proficiency with minor surgical skills essential.
Required: Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to
positively interact with medical\nursing staff and other members of
the multidisciplinary team. Strong customer service skills with a
focus on quality and efficiency. The ability to positively react to
a busy, demanding, and dynamic clinical atmosphere with varying
patient volumes, acuities, and medical problems. FNP / PA-C:
graduation from an accredited FNP / PA program (Elective rotation
in Emergency Medicine strongly preferred), Masters degree
preferred. APRN / PA CT license, current certification, Federal DEA
