Radiologic Technologist. The Greater Manchester Region employs
around 2,500 individuals and encompasses Manchester Memorial
Hospital, a community facility with 249 beds, Rockville General, a
102-bed campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a large
multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. This
region serves approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of a Workflow Coordinator,
Manager/Supervisor, or Team Leader, you will perform or assist in
radiographic procedures that do not require direct supervision over
technical details. You will carry out a variety of technical tasks
that necessitate independent judgment, a solid understanding of
anatomy, positioning, and comprehensive technical knowledge of
equipment. You will also take responsibility for specific areas or
procedures as needed. Qualifications EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High
School diploma or equivalent GED. Must successfully complete the
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Board
and possess a State of Connecticut License to perform Radiographic
technical procedures, or obtain it within three months of
graduation. Continuously acquire the required number of continuing
education units (CEUs) to maintain state licensure. Certification
in Basic Cardiac Life Support is required upon hire, with ongoing
clinical competency maintained throughout employment. EXPERIENCE:
Must be fully knowledgeable and capable of independently performing
in at least two modalities. Comprehensive understanding of physics
principles, anatomy, medical terminology, sterile techniques, and
radiation protection as they pertain to Radiology practice is
essential. Radiologic Technologists must meet the organization’s
age-specific knowledge and skill requirements and complete the
mandatory education program annually. COMPETENCIES: Ability to
communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus but not mandatory. Advanced
math skills in physics are necessary to understand and adjust
radiologic exposure levels for patients and themselves. ESSENTIAL

Conduct all routine radiographic procedures in accordance with
department standards, protocols, and guidelines set by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the State of Connecticut.
Demonstrate proficiency in performing routine radiographic
procedures and fluoroscopic exams, including gastrointestinal
studies, ERCPs, arthrography, hysterosalpingography, urography, and
portable X-ray equipment, including C-arm procedures. Ensure proper
clinical care for patients during diagnostic procedures. Critically
assess and evaluate image quality. Maintain accuracy in computer
documentation. Guide students in the clinical and ethical
dimensions of the Radiologic Technologist profession. Manage stock
levels and personal protective equipment at assigned stations.
Maintain a constant awareness of infection control standards.
Collaborate effectively as a team member to achieve tasks. Perform
