Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Albany, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Epic experience REQUIRED /n• Navy blue scrubs required /n• Care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients in Progressive Critical Care Unit /n• Manage patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications /n• Must be competent in care of medical and surgical populations /n• ACLS certification required /n• Advanced hemodynamics experience including pressor usage per titration protocols /n• Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics required /n• Must be proficient with arterial lines, central venous pressure monitoring, external ventricular drains, orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols /n• HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxygen dependent patient experience required /n• Large scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience preferred /n• Average patient load is 3 high acuity patients /n• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission via email /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a Progressive Critical Care Unit that serves some of the most medically complex patients in the region.
