AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes/nPatient Experience requirements: At least one year of general Medicine/Surgery/n/nUnit Specifics: Med Surg/Medicine E4/nNumber of Beds : 36-bed unit/nUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :/nType of equipment: Blood pressure machines, IV pumps, wound vacs, PCA pain control pumps, PAPRs, telemetry monitoring, pulse oximeter, WOWs/nDocumentation system: Soarian documentation system, MAK medication system /nScheduling requirements: Every other weekend, every other Friday, and every other holiday/nFloating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float pool team./nHospital Specifics-/nCertifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital/nProcedures performed on unit: Central line placement, paracentesis, wound vac placement. /nCertifications Required: BLS required. Medical-Surgical certification encouraged./n/nUnit Specifics:Med Surg FLOAT POOL/nNumber of Beds : 766 licensed beds/nUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Work side by side with members of interdisciplinary teams on all units: PA’s, NP’s, Residents, Attending MDs, Fellows, PCA, and ASAs/nType of equipment : wound vac, EKG monitoring, advanced neuro assessments/nDocumentation system: Soarian/nScheduling requirements: Every other weekend; may request weekend block Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon/nFloating policy: to areas with competency. /nPatient Experience requirements: Working with a variety of different patient populations. Must be flexible in assignments, comfortable with change, and willing to learn new skills/nAdvanced skills needed: Ability and willingness to float to 22 different medical and surgical units.
