Assistant Medical Director will work both as a Primary Care
Provider and also as a Clinical Leader at our Worcester Primary
Care site. This person will be responsible for managing,
evaluating, and supporting the clinic’s Advanced Practice
Clinicians (NPs and PAs). This Assistant Director will also support
the APP Residency by participating in precepting Residency
sessions, meeting with Residency Director, and acting as liaison
between Residency and other administrative teams within the
organization. The Assistant Medical Director will provide
comprehensive primary care as a member of the clinical practice
team, working collaboratively with other team members in providing
services to patients. This includes participating in the
coordination of care for individual patients, and supporting
patients and families in self-management, through evidenced-based
approaches as may be appropriate at the clinic. Essential Duties &
Responsibilities Clinical : 1 Provide direct medical care to a
panel of patients for five sessions per week ( 20 hours). Complete
clinical administrative work 5 hours per week. 2. Adhere to
established protocols, responds to medical emergencies within the
facility assigned. 3. Assists/instructs other health care employees
in the management of client care. 4. Make referrals to health care
professionals, specialists, other clinics and community agencies.
Administrative : 1. Work on grant funded responsibilities as
needed. 2. Work on managerial responsibilities 15 hours per week
(see below responsibilities) 3. Review and sign off on bi-weekly
timesheets of Advanced Practitioners at the Worcester primary care
site. Work with the medical director and scheduling coordinator to
determine if time off requests can be approved based on patient
needs. The Assistant Medical Director will arrange and manage
schedules of students and medical residents who precept and shadow
at primary care site. Complete, with the assistance as needed of
the Medical Director and HR, APP staff’s performance evaluations
(as applicable), on rolling anniversary date schedule The Assistant
Medical Director will work with the Medical Director and HR to
interview, hire, and onboard new providers to Tacoma site.
Collaborate as a member of the operational team in Worcester which
consists of Medical Director, Clinical Practice Manager, Nurse
Managers, as well as other leadership team members. Participate in
Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Activities as assigned by
the Medical Director. Participate in Administrative Projects as
assigned by the Medical Director. Provide Clinical Supervision and
mentoring to Nurse Practitioner, Medical, and Physician Assistant
students by mutual agreement with the Medical Director. Assist in
improvements in the EHR by being a member of the EMR team-which
includes operational improvements, quality requirements, and being
a champion/super user. Perform other duties and work assignments as
assigned by the supervisor including attendance of requested
department, center, and outside meetings and/or trainings. Critical

evening clinic and Saturday Clinic coverage according to a schedule
approved by the Medical Director. 4 May work a fluctuating work
schedule including days, evenings, and weekend shifts, and/or
holidays. Qualifications: Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant
or Nurse Practitioner Active, Unrestricted License in
Massachusetts, DEA and MCSR. Minimum of three years of experience
in a primary care setting. Salary range is $125,000-$135,000
depending on years of experience Preferred Qualifications: 1. One
to two years leadership/administration experience 2. Bilingual in
