Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albany, New York, 12208! Job

Description: The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care
for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex
patients. Respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries,
multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex
traumas, and surgical complications are among our primary patient
conditions. Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and
surgical populations. ACLS and advanced hemodynamics experience,
including pressor usage per titration protocols, are essential.
Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips,
thrombo-embolytics, central venous pressure monitoring, external
ventricular drains, orthopedic traction, and infection prevention
protocols is important. High flow nasal cannula, BiPap/Cpap, and
oxygen dependent care knowledge is also necessary. Nurses with
large scale adult Progressive Critical Care Unit experience and
community hospital ICU experience tend to excel in this
environment. The average patient load is 3 high acuity patients.
Competency assessment required within 24 hours of submission. 5
