Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation and education, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the role of Education Specialist in our Clinical Center for Learning and Development. This pivotal role is designed to enhance the professional development and continuing education of our nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong clinical background coupled with a passion for teaching and professional development, aiming to elevate patient care through advanced educational strategies. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs and curricula for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. Facilitate hands-on training sessions, workshops, and seminars. Collaborate with clinical leaders to assess learning needs and ensure that educational content meets the highest standards of current medical practice. Support the integration of evidence-based practice and research into clinical and operational processes. Utilize advanced technology and simulation-based learning tools to enhance learning experiences. Measure the impact of educational interventions on staff performance and patient outcomes, and adjust programs as needed. Strong clinical skills as a registered nurse Educational program design and evaluation Proficiency in using educational technology and simulation tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Leadership and mentorship capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD) highly desirable
