Albany Medical Center is recruiting an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry faculty. Hours are Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule. This will be a full time outpatient position. The department includes a 26-bed acute inpatient unit, a consultation-liaison service seeing patients throughout the hospital, an outpatient psychiatry teaching clinic, an outpatient practice, and an integrated care program at multiple clinical sites. Our ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program has 28 residents and trains Albany Medical College medical and physician assistant students, as well as psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows. Responsibilities include: - Provide direct adult hospital based and outpatient psychiatric care - Hospital and ER consultation - ECT and TMS - Education and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students - Research and quality improvement projects are encouraged - Contribution to weekend department call schedule with additional compensation Competitive salary range: $240,000-$250,000 starting salary negotiable commensurate with academic rank and experience.
