Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist, located in Waterbury, CT. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and provide personalized vision care to patients. This role involves prescribing corrective lenses, detecting and managing diseases or abnormalities of the eye, and collaborating with other eye care professionals to ensure seamless and exceptional care. The Optometrist will also educate patients about eye health and promote preventive care solutions. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of ocular anatomy, vision science, and eye-related health conditions Proficiency in conducting thorough eye examinations and using diagnostic equipment Strong patient communication, education, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-first care Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program Current and valid state optometry license in Connecticut Willingness to stay current on advancements in optometry and participate in ongoing education Experience in a clinical or private practice setting is a plus
