Job Description:

Housekeeper - 40hours/wk, rotating w/e schedule The primary purpose ofyour job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the HousekeepingDepartment in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards,guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed bythe Building Services Director, to assure that our facility is maintainedin a clean, safe and comfortable manner. In the absence of the BuildingServices Director, the Housekeeper is responsible to the Nursing Supervisor. We have several on-line programs currently being used by ourstaff:

  • Shifthound is our on-line scheduling program. At the click of a button, you can request time off or request to pick up a shift. You can also send email/text notification to request coverage of an open shift
  • Relias is our on-line education program. Classes are assigned via email for you to complete in the allotted time at your own pace
  • Paylocity is our online payroll system. We are all direct deposit and you are able to view your check right online. In addition, we communicate to staff through this systemMajor Duties andResponsibilities
    • Administrative Functions
    • Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
    • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas
    • Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called
    • Staff Development
    • Attend and participate in inservice educational classes, on-the-job training programs, all mandatory Inservices, etc., as scheduled or as directed
    • Safety and Sanitation
    • Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner
    • Assure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing housekeeping procedures
    • Equipment and Supply Functions
    • Assure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift
    • Keep supervisor informed of supply needs
    • Housekeeping Services
    • Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
    • Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed
    • Resident Rights
    • Maintain the confidentiality of resident information. Honor the residents' personal and property rights
    • Be familiar with all aspects of the Resident's Bill of Rights and maintain compliances with same at all timesEducation Must possess, as aminimum, a high school diploma Experience None required.On-the-job training provided.
