University Assistant must be a mature, confident person with
excellent communication skills – especially verbal. This position
is responsible for answering the admissions hunt line and directing
the calls appropriately, making outbound telephone calls to
prospective students to set appointments for counselors, providing
administrative support for all activities related to student
enrollment.
Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a
culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff,
and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written
communication skills along with strong Information technology
literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
Teams etc.)Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or a
combination of education, training, and experience which would lead
to the competencies required for successful performance of the
position's essential duties.Successful Candidate must have or must
possess:
- Experience providing customer service in person and via the
telephone with the ability to convey enthusiasm and a caring
attitude required
- Experience with understanding and safeguarding sensitive
personal/academic data and student informationSubstitutions

direction of the Associate Director of Admissions, the University
Assistant for Enrollment Services is accountable for providing
departmental support by effective performance in these essential
areas:
- Answer the main admissions telephone line; provide information
and transfer appropriately
- Schedule advisement sessions and phone appointments for
admissions counselors
- Enter inquiry card information into SIS/CRM
- Manage email lists
- Send daily mailings to target populations
- Prepare information packets for counselors
- Support the Associate Director and Director in research and
development of lists
- Keeping the inventory of collateral materials intact
- Support Enrollment Services staff as neededIn addition to the
accountabilities listed above, the incumbent is required to carry
out the essential duties of: Attendance and participation at
convocation and commencement ceremonies; Service on assigned
committees and task forces; Attendance and participation at
committee, staff, informational and professional meetings. These
may involve attendance at evening or weekend events.This posting

Collective Bargaining Agreement.Starting Salary:$15.00
