Volt is immediately hiring an Injection Mold Operator for Chicopee, MA location.

As an Injection Mold Operator, you will:



The operator inspects the parts that come of the Molding press to be sure they are within specifications. After they inspect them, they will stack and bag them and they also input their production digitally. They have a computer at every press with work instructions as well.
Perform work in accordance with documented procedures in Traveler package.
Ensure product inspection criteria are observed and implemented throughout work shift.
Ensure timely arrival at workstation and follow posted break and lunch schedules.
Follow department work schedule such that machine coverage ensures continuity in production.
Follow department procedures related to dress code and proper handling of product.
Track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments that have been performed.
Stop production and inform the supervisor when product does not meet specifications.
Document production on forms provided to enable accountability.
Demonstrate care in the use of calibrated measuring instruments provided for the performance of job function.
Ensure proper function of all tools provided for the inspection and production of product.
Always Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Observe all safety requirements in the work area.

This is a Full-Time opportunity.

Schedule: 1st Shift

The ideal candidate will have:

High School diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of production machine operator experience required.
Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and processes
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Desire to be part of a motivated and energetic team
Good communication skills both verbal and written

Pay Rate: $18/Hourly
