Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior
Scientist to join our fast-paced and innovative Bispecifics &
Antibody Engineering Department. You will be part of a group of
diverse talents responsible for the design, production and
characterization of next-generation antibody and protein
therapeutics for infectious disease targets at Regeneron. This
position will have a direct impact in innovative platform
development at this exciting time, as significant advancements in
antibody engineering has already propelled approvals of multiple
next-gen antibody-based therapies in many indications. As a Senior
Scientist, a typical day may include the following: Apply molecular
and structural biology expertise to design innovative bi- and
multi-specific antibodies with improved potency, selectivity and
developability. Produce novel alternative format antibodies through
mammalian expression and purification. Perform and troubleshoot in
vitro bioanalytical and cell-based assays (SDS-PAGE, western
blotting, flow cytometry binding, ELISA, qPCR). Collaborate with
stakeholders in Infectious Disease to align on engineered antibody
designs, research objectives, and next steps. Effectively
communicate results to management and stakeholders in group and
departmental meetings and maintain timely records in electronic lab
notebooks. This role may be for you if: You are results-driven, can
learn new skills quickly, and demonstrate a strong track record of
troubleshooting assays. You have a background in infectious disease
and antibody engineering. You are experienced in molecular biology
and protein production. You have strong organizational,
communication, and presentation skills. You enjoy working
collaboratively in teams with diverse backgrounds and can handle
multiple projects simultaneously. To be considered for this role
you must have a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology,
biochemistry, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant
experience in academia or industry. Desired candidates must have
hands-on experience with cloning, antibody expression in mammalian
cell lines, antibody purification (i.e., experience with AKTA) and
biochemical/biophysical characterization. Familiarity with flow
cytometry, neutralization assays, and/or structural biology is
