Job Description Job Description Position Overview: The clinical
supervisor organizes, administers, and oversees the clinical
operation of the Specialized Treatment Programs utilizing evidence
based best practice models and sound clinical judgment. Individual
is responsible for working closely with the Director of Specialized
Treatment Programs and leadership team to ensure a safe,
therapeutic environment for all youth and staff and ensures
compliance with all relevant mandates. The Clinical Supervisor is
responsible for overseeing and developing the Clinical/Case
Management staff including hiring, supervision, evaluation and
scheduling. This position provides both clinical and administrative
supervision of clinical staff and requires one to think globally,
solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including
solid critical thinking skills. To provide clinical,
administrative, and case management supervision to Caseworkers,
Social Workers, and Individual & Family Therapists in an inpatient
sub-acute OMH-licensed psychiatric facility, Rapid Intervention
Center, the residential treatment center (RTC), Rose Hard to Place
Cottage, and an OCFS licensed Diagnostic program. Monitoring,
tracking and making required deadlines as per NYS
ACS/OMH/DSS/OCFS/CSE standards, agency policies and procedures are
required. Clinical Supervisor is responsible to assure that
youth/family treatment goals are being met through the services
provided by Caseworkers, Social Workers, and Individual & Family
Therapists. The Clinical Supervisor ensures that clinical and case
management protocols related to youth in these specialized programs
are implemented. The Clinical Supervisor shows dedication and
willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM)
team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to
best serve the population. They are expected to have a
nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic
principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and
shaping). They are required to function as part of a team,
committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive
relationships with all residents. Position Qualifications: Licensed
Master of Social Work (LMSW) and/or Licensed Clinical Social Work
(LCSW), or PhD, PsyD, or related human service field with social
work/clinical experience. Five years full-time paid experience as a
Social Worker in child welfare/foster care/ DJJ/OCFS, required OR
five years full-time paid experience as a clinician working with
children and adolescents. Knowledge of and/or experience with OMH
preferred. Strong knowledge of NYS CONNECTIONS, required. Strong
clinical and administrative skills to supervise Social/Case Work
staff, required. Valid NYS Driver’s license, required. Excellent
written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work flex-time,
required. Experience in running groups (youth, parent). Ability to
multi-task and make decisions under pressure. The Children’s
