Job Description Job Description New Alternatives for Children,
Inc. (NAC) is an award-winning not-for-profit agency dedicated to
serving children and families with medical complexities, chronic
illnesses, and disabilities throughout the five boroughs. To assist
in achieving this mission, NAC is currently seeking a Bilingual
Fee-for-Services Psychotherapist to join its Comprehensive Health
Care Center (Mental Health/Creative Arts). Delivers mental health
treatment services in New Alternatives for Children's Article 31
Mental Health Clinic Program. Provides individual, collateral,
family, and/or group psychotherapy, intake and assessment, and
crisis intervention services. Clinic primarily serves children and
families involved in the child welfare system. Completes required
documentation within prescribed timeframes. Clinical supervision
provided. Title of Position: Bilingual Fee-for-Services
Psychotherapist Position Type: Fee-for-Service Salary Range: $51.50
per hour for licensed staff; $46.35 per service or per hour for
staff with other limited permit; higher rate for services delivered
in a language other than English Location: 825 7th Avenue, New
York, NY, 10019 Department/Program: Comprehensive Health Care
Center (Mental Health/Creative Arts) Responsibilities: Provides
individual, collateral and/or group psychotherapy sessions to
clients in NAC's Mental Health Clinic; Completes intake
evaluations; Documents sessions by means of progress notes;
Completes required documentation including treatment plans and
quarterly treatment plan reviews; Assigned clients, but makes own
appointments; Works with the NAC multidisciplinary team, the
client's family, and other service providers as appropriate, to
meet treatment goals and assure continuity of care; and Performs
all duties in accordance with New York State Office of Mental
Health and federal regulations, as well as NAC's Mental Health
Clinic Treatment Program Policy & Procedures Manual. Required
Education and Experience: Master's Degree or higher in Social Work,
Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or
Psychology; Professional NYS license or NYS limited permit in
Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy,
or Psychology Direct clinical experience with children,
adolescents, and adults with wide range of mental health disorders,
specifically children who have experienced trauma Required Skills:
Bi-lingual (English - Spanish) is REQUIRED for this position. Prior
experience in a community-based outpatient mental health clinic,
child welfare clients strongly preferred. CASAC or substance use
