Job Description:

Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation comprising of a top-tier hospital and an esteemed medical college, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Adult Emergency Department (ED). This pivotal role involves providing advanced nursing care tailored to adult patients in a high-stress environment. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will handle complex clinical situations, contribute to medical research, and deliver educational support, while maintaining the highest levels of patient care. Provide direct nursing care in a high-acuity emergency department setting. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Maintain safety and comfort of patients, ensuring adherence to established guidelines. Record and maintain accurate patient documents. Participate in research activities and support clinical trials. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health maintenance. Strong skills in clinical assessment and emergency response. Ability to operate medical equipment like ECG, defibrillators, and patient monitors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in handling medical information systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license within the state of practice. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
